Fishing

We went on our camping trip and had a great time. We ate a lot of great food, did some fishing & played some poker. Here are some pics of us fishing and our "big" catches.

Great pictures, looks like you had a blast. Those are some BIG fish- what did you do with all the food you brought? Hope you saved the leftovers :) Do I see a fish fry coming up in the near future?

Krit - The only fish we'll be able to fry would be what we buy from Kroger's. We only cooked a fraction of the food that we brought, so our freezer will be full for a while. In fact, we didn't really buy that much stuff for the trip, we raided the freezer and brought stuff that we have had for a while. I could go for a fish fry soon, maybe Kroger's will have a sale pretty soon...

SOS - We had a great time too, glad ya'll came. Those ribs were so good that it has inspired me to get a charcoal grill (in addition to the propane grill of course). I have no idea what we were looking at.

You'all have a deep freeze right? Those are great investments- you get to shop in your own house out of all the stuff you bought cheap. Smart long-term solution.

A fish fry would be fun (even if it isn't fish we caught). We also went fishing this weekend- it was fun. We didn't catch a thing but the family time was nice.

We do have a deep freeze, one of the best investments that we have made. Now when any kind meat is on sale, we can buy in bulk, seal it up with the Foodsaver (another great buy) and have lots of good food on hand that didn't cost a whole lot. That's one way we keep our traveling costs down, we bring food that we would normally fix at home with us.
